Some of you may have heard of Linux and are reluctant to try it. You think it will be a hassle to try and get it to run on your Windows system and don't want to risk losing all of your files off of your computer. So the big question is...Why use Linux?
Well, what you probably didn't know is that there are several different "distros" distributions. Some of these are Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Fedora (aka: Redhat), Mandriva (aka: Mandrake), just to name a few.
Some distros offer a Live CD version of their operating system. Meaning that you can download a copy of their .ISO CD Image file, then "burn the image to disc" using almost any CD/DVD burning program.
